The River's Journey: One Year, Six Artists, Ninety-two Miles

Thursday, September 6 from 5-7 p.m. in the City Hall Gallery
735 Anacapa Street, Santa Barbara, CA

The River's Journey Project, developed by six artists calling themselves Rose Compass, is a collaboration telling a BIG story about the Santa Ynez River and watershed through some really SMALL gouache paintings. The River's Journey: One Year, Six Artists, Ninety-two miles showed at the Wildling Museum in Solvang earlier this year and is now reconfigured, redesigned, added to and installed at the Santa Barbara City Hall Gallery hosted by the Santa Barbara Office of Arts and Culture.

Rose Compass artists include Connie Connally, Holli Harmon, Libby Smith, Nicole Strasburg, Nina Warner, and Pamela Zwehl-Burke. Ourcollective serves to connect our community to their limited and valuable water resources.

Come learn more about the water source that feeds our community with this engaging exhibit.

The River's Journey

We have arrived....

It has been an incredible journey, with twists and turns, highs and lows, dearth and drama!  Water is precious and we all need to be informed in order to care for this resource.  Discover the facts about how we manage our water resource through beautifully rendered gouache paintings. Be the first to see these diminutive gems, which are all for sale at the Wildling Museum this Saturday, February 17.

Sneak Preview Party 3:30pm with Raffle for one of six paintings! The $75 ticket helps get our book into our schools and libraries.

Opening Reception at 5:30pm is free.

Enjoy your trip to Solvang, and swing by my other show at the Elverhoj Museum.  I have an interesting piece in this book art show. What? Book Art?  You will have a new appreciation of book arts when you see these incredibly designed pieces.
